BITTE KAI RAND was founded in 1981 when Bitte, a newly graduated designer from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, bought the high-profile knitwear company "Steen’s hjemmestrikkerier", which quickly became Copenhagen's answer to Sonia Rykiel in Paris.

Today, BITTE KAI RAND's traditions are stronger than ever, because passion, creative play and a rejection of commercial limitations and short-term trends still form the core of every collection. The clothes are created for real people, colourful parties, joy at work and everyday magic. They are made for all women who would rather stand out than fit in.
